When the activities that contribute to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) analyzed according to the data published by TurkStat in February 2020;
- Gross domestic product with chain linked volume index (2009=100) increased by 6,0% in the fourth quarter of 2019 compared with the same quarter of previous year.
- In 2019, Gross domestic product by production approach increased by 14.9% compared with the previous year and reached 4 trillion 280 billion 381 million TRY.
- When the activities which constitute the gross domestic product in 2019 were analyzed; the total value added with chain linked volume index increased by 3.8% in the finance and insurance sector, 4.6% in education, public administration, social services activities, 3.3% in agriculture, 3.7% in other services, and total value added decreased by 8.6% in construction industry, 1.8% in support administrative services compared with the previous year.
- Seasonal and calendar adjusted gross domestic product volume index increased by 1.9% in the fourth quarter of 2019 compared with the previous quarter. Calendar adjusted gross domestic product chain volume index increased by 6.0% compared with the same quarter of the previous year.
